Sunpaw turned blissfully to her sister. "Morn'in, Moonpaw!" She grabbed a plump vole from the fresh-kill pile, and dropped infront of Moonpaw. "Want some?" she asled.
"Of course!" She yelped happily, diving at the vole. She looked up at her sister. "Would you like me to save some?" She mewed. Her ears perked up as she heard her mentor call her name. "Moonpaw, hurry up! Remember, today is your assesment." Flamerain called, padding up to teh two she-cats. "Good morning,Sunpaw." He said, nodding politely.
Flamerain raised an eyebrow at her. "Ah yes,it is your assesment as well.Well,Hazepelt is still sleeping." He sighed. Moonpaw giggled. "Your mentor is so lazy!" She mewed, giggling some more.Flamerain swiped his tail at her face, silencing her.
Sunpaw rolled her eyes, and bounded into the warrior's den. "Hazepelt!" she mewed. He was the only one in there. "Huh- wha-?" he shot up blankly, glancing down at her. "Oh, hey, Sunpaw." Sunpaw tapped her paw against the ground impatiently.
Moonpaw sighed as her sister entered the den. "C'mon Moonpaw,we'll meet them at the creek." Flamerain mewed, exiting teh camp.Moonapw ran excitedly after him,her toungue lolling out of her mouth.
"What?" Hazepelt meowed as he stretched. His eyes shot open as he quickly understood her impatience. "Uh huh." Sunpaw muttered. "Assessments." Hazepelt swiftly grabbed a mouse, wolfed in down, then led her out of camp, and by the creek. "Heh heh..." Hazepelt waved his tail at Flamerain and Moonpaw. "Sorry uh... I over slept." Sunpaw rolled her eyes, smiling at her mentor. "Can we get on with this?" she demanded playfully. "I'm nervous as queen expecting kits."
Hazepelt glared playfully at Flamerain, swiping a paw across his ear. "Sure, sure." Sunpaw bounced up and down. "Come ON! The sooner I pass the assessment, the sooner I become a warrior!"
Sunpaw bounded ahead of the three, untill she reached a small clearing. "Okay, so can we start?" "Hold on," Hazepelt sniffed the air. His dark blue eyes clouded with alarm as he opened his mouth to taste the air. "Fox," he murmured, suddenly serious. "Three of them. Two adluts and a cub. Hmmm..." Sunpaw stared at him in disbelief. He was able to detect who was there with just a simple sniff? Hazepelt whipped his head toward Flamerain, a dark grin spreaad across his face. "We can take 'em." "What?!" Sunpaw exclaimed. Hazepelt shrugged. "Think of it as your assessment. Just with our help." She watched Flamerain to see what he thought of it.
"I don't know, our leader might not like it....." Flamerain tought for a moment, until Moonpaw started to get bored. "But,then we'll hurt the cub.We can't just do that!" She mewed,a look of sorrow in her eyes. She never liked killing little kits, even if they were a fox or a badger.
